About

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Education

I graduated from Evangel University in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Film. I also double minored in International Studies and French.

While at Evangel, I tried to take advantage of all the opportunities provided to me. I participated in a wide assortment of student media and other extra-curricular activities. Through these activities I learned valuable leadership skills as well as time and resource management. My technical proficiencies include a wide variety of both hardware and software and I pick up new technologies very quickly.

Personal History

I was born in Bigfork, MT and was raised on a little farm in the mountains. At an early age I developed a deep appreciation of nature and my favorite thing was going on hikes with my mother.

When I was 13, my mom convinced me to audition for a local play. Against my wishes, I obliged and in the course of a few short weeks discovered a whole new world. Over the next few years I performed in 14 plays and worked on the tech crew for several more. I chose to major in Film because it has all the elements of theatre that I love, but is a more lasting medium.

After graduating university I spent some time in Montana, but eventually realized that small town living just wasn’t for me. After a long road trip I ended up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I married my wife. In 2018, we moved back to Springfield, Missouri where I worked as a Director of Communication at an international nonprofit. Currently, my wife and I live in Orlando, Florida and I run Mayflower Creative, a digital media company specializing in nonprofit services.

Ambitions

I’m passionate about social justice, cross-cultural communication, political activism, visual media, and creative storytelling.

My life verse is Proverbs 31:8-9, which says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

Myers-Briggs Personality Type

“INFJs indeed share a very unique combination of traits: though soft-spoken, they have very strong opinions and will fight tirelessly for an idea they believe in. They are decisive and strong-willed, but will rarely use that energy for personal gain – INFJs will act with creativity, imagination, conviction and sensitivity not to create advantage, but to create balance. Egalitarianism and karma are very attractive ideas to INFJs, and they tend to believe that nothing would help the world so much as using love and compassion to soften the hearts of tyrants.”
